Fat is probably the most misunderstood and
misrepresented food of the twentieth century. But now that were emerging
into the twenty-first century, let’s set the record straight. Bad fats
kill and good fats heal. And if you’re not eating the good fats, then
the absence of good fats kill also.
There in lies the problem. We don’t eat good
fats. For about a half century now we’ve been told not to eat fat, that
it causes obesity, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes or even cancer. But
while they were telling us this, the science was mounting and it became
clear that not all fats where created equally. That, in fact, certain
fats are required for good health and can actually help prevent the very
health challenges that they told us it caused.
These healing fats are known as Omega-3 and Omega-6
essential fatty acids. Matol’s Omega 3-6-9 is precisely made of these

allowing metabolic waste out of the cell. The membrane is in fact an
intelligent filtering mechanism without which we would die.
So, if you want to increase your intelligence, eat
more omega essential fatty acids!! I meant that in jest, but it’s
actually true. The brain itself also needs omega EFA’s to function.
The brain is your personal ever expanding, library of information and
computer processor.
The brain is constantly correlating and communicating
billions of bits of informative commands to appropriate parts of your
body. All actions, whether it’s completing a thought, remembering a
name for a smell, choosing to run instead of walk or just keeping your
heart beating the right speed, requires processing through the brain.
As it turns out the omega essential fatty acid oils
are the medium by which this communication is carried out. Without good
EFA metabolism, brain chemistry does indeed become scrambled and mental,
behavioral, emotional or physical problems may very well manifest.
Now imagine for a moment a person on a non fat diet or
more likely a person on both a bad fat / high sugar, fast food diet and
a non fat diet. You know the type, buying non-fat food at the grocery
store and going to McDonald’s for lunch and non fat frozen yogurt for
desert. Do you think this creates an EFA deficiency? You bet! Do you
think it affects brain chemistry and cell membrane intelligence? You
bet! Do you know any kids that eat like this? Do you know anybody on
Prozac for depression or Ritalin for ADD or ADHD that eat like this?
Research even on epilepsy has shown promising results by increasing fat
in your diet. One study conducted at the Epilepsy Center, Jefferson
Medical College, Department of Neurology, reports patient results as

Scientific research has also confirmed an essential
fatty acid deficiency in the brain of persons who have died of
Alzheimer’s disease. It’s hypothesized that an essential fatty acid
deficiency in Alzheimer sufferers leads to leaky cellular membranes
which inappropriately allows passage of toxic compounds to collect and
cause plaques that are associated with memory loss and decreased

What the science is suggesting is that an essential
fatty acid deficiency is directly associated with these and many other
diseases. Unfortunately, the signs and symptoms of mild essential fatty
acid deficiencies are not so obvious and can accumulate over years
without really knowing it.
Well, as I mentioned earlier Matol’s Omega 3-6-9 is
